Essex
Residential scheme integrating 62 proposed Passivhaus dwellings and associated commercial offerings into the an estate in suburban Essex. Tired and poorly arranged existing landscape and built form is replaced with a landscape-led arrangement around a new axis street and communal courtyard. An adjacent public open space, on which the estate currently turns its back, is regenerated as the focal point of the development. The proposals achieve on-site Biodiversity Net Gain of 14% (habitat)/38% (hedgerow).
